What's not to like about FREE? @ 05:20 am

Current Mood: excited excited
Current Music: cast-on podcasts

I've pre-ordered Yarn Harlot's third book - Knitting Rules!: The Yarn Harlot Unravels the Mysteries of Swatching, Stashing, Ribbing, and Rolling to Free Your Inner Knitter. (Is that a really long title or what?) I've got her first two books and loved them, can't wait for the next one!

The best part is I got it for free thanks to a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card from MyPoints. This is the third or fourth BN card I've earned from MyPoints in the past couple of years. You can get cards for lots of other places too - even a WebCertificate you can use anywhere online that takes MasterCard - but most of my points have gone for free books & tarot cards. I usually get points from reading their emails, and with MyPoints Visa I get points for every dollar spent. And if I use the Visa to go shopping through their site, double points, whoohoo! I was surprised how fast they add up. And what's not to like about free stuff?

Hi, MyPoints sounds promising. Do they just send advertisement emails to your addy?

Yep, I've got a filter set up to dump them into a special folder (so they don't get spam-blocked by mistake). Click a link to view the full ad for 5 points, more points if you actually buy/sign up for whatever they're advertising. They also have a lot of retail partners, link to them from the MyPoints site and they'll give you points per dollar spent.
