audio geek question @ 04:14 pm

I've got a sweet little RCA Lyra mp3 player (256 Mb + SD card) that will also play Audible's .aa format, and came with a couple of Audible samples. I love the way the Audible files will bookmark so you can start from where you left off, even after turning off the player.

I like podcasts, but they're often longer than the time I have to listen. Is there any way to convert mp3 files to something bookmark-able? That's the only thing that's keeping me from loading up with Cast On and The Signal - or ripping some audio books, for that matter.

The player came with a couple of free Audible downloads but I haven't seen anything I'd like enough to get yet. What I *really* want are the Harry Potter audio books, but Audible doesn't carry them.
