I've been reminscing with one of my co-workers about Schoolhouse Rock this morning. He'd had a tune stuck in his head for a couple of days, and we finally recognized it as "InterPlanet Janet". My favorite's probably "I'm Just a Bill". Anybody else remember what law the bill was for? I do.

So, which ones were your favorites? And does anybody know where I can find Schoolhouse Rock MP3's, or how to rip them from a DVD?

Hmm, just realized I could use an SR userpic or two. Until then I'll have to settle for Serenity built from Lego for childhood stuff.

I could make that happen if you tell me the specifics. I was able to find some stuff about the Firefly series but wasn't able to figure out what precicely SR stood for... erm...

How about this?

I feel diminished somehow that I DON'T know for sure what bill 'I'm Just a Bill' was written about. I always thought it was the Bill of Rights.

Thanks for the Firefly icon, I'll definitely be using that one! As for SR I just got tired of typing out Schoolhouse Rock. Lego was the closest thing I had to a kid icon.

See... this is what happens when I read people before I am awake... I can't put 2+2 together, much less the condensation of Schoolhouse Rock into SR... since you put Serenity up there instead, I went looking for some series involved with the Serenity and totally missed the obvious contraction! hahaha.

Well anyway, here is your SR icon. ^_^

"I'm Just A Bill" is the one I remember best, but "ConJunction Junction" is my favorite.

Being raised by my gran, I grew up with German schlager... way back when you had to enter the Eurovision Song Contest in your native language. Very very bad for Germans...

My first real favourite, age 12, was "I was made for loving you" by KISS. Shows my impeccable taste - still a classic 25 years later. (Admittedly, I also was into the cheesy ballads of Barclay James Harvest, like Suicide or Child of the Universe. Don't tell, okay?)
