Serenity Special Edition @ 03:12 pm

Current Mood: contemplative contemplative

Yes, I'm a Browncoat. Even though I've already got the Firefly series and Serenity on DVD, I've been wondering whether it might be worth it to get the Serenity Special Edition when it comes in a couple of weeks (8/21). According to this comparison, it's got some additional bouns footage that was previously exclusive to the Australian release, some "River's Academy Days" shorts that were used for viral marketing online, and an additional commentary track with several of the actors.

So... Is this enough stuff to make it worth the purchase?

PS Note to self: If/when I ever get my own car, get "03-K64" license plate.

Ok. I give up. What's 03-K64 mean?

BTW...I like the idea of buying the special edition and donating the original to the library...(or perhaps finding a friend who doesn't have it.)

After River comes out of the box, they ask if she knows where she is. "...transport... class 03-K64 Firefly."

Which reminds me, I'm loading an SD card with a bunch of Saffron filk mp3's I found today.

I still do not understand why they stopped makign that show, it rocks. My ex took my copy. *goes to buy another one* I go for special edition whenever there's one available. Libraries often need more ... what's the word... diverse... movie selection. I almost said "cultural" somehow I figure Sci-fi / fantasy is a way of life. Please dont bust my bubble and tell me i'm wrong.

Thanks for the heads-up! And I was tickled that I recognized the "03-K64" reference before you gave the answer. :-)
