I've been forced to drink tons of water, but I've picked up a few tricks along the way that help me get it all in. Some of my favorites include:
  • keeping a small glass (8 fl. oz. or so) by the bed and swilling the whole thing before my feet touch the floor. (Sit up, gulp water, start day.)
  • carrying a full hard plastic (ie, BPA-free Nalgene) or metal (ie, Kleen Kanteen) water bottle in my bag. When the bag gets too heavy or annoying, I drink some of the water to make it lighter.
  • taking a quick sip from every water fountain I pass.

    My roommate loves those Crystal Light flavor packets; that's primarily how she gets her water intake up. She also drops pieces of citrus fruit in her water, which changes the flavor.
