Tonight was our new auditor's first night on her own, without someone walking her through everything. She did really well, considering the crap they sent us for paperwork tonight. I did banquets for her, which was probably a Very Good Thing (even though I busted my ass doing that on top of my own workload). Jeez, they were screwed up! Who's stupid f'ing idea was it anyway to let people charge drinks to their rooms at a cash bar?! Cash bar tickets usually get screwed up anyway, and this added about 15 more than usual - and half of those had added tips to be billed to their rooms as well. And heaven forbid Banquets should include any of the tips on their summary spreadsheets - or that they can tell the difference between lunch, coffee breaks & receptions - or code the bartender charges to Banquet Bartenders instead of Liquor, for Christ's sake! Took me a good 2 hours to straigten out the stupid mess.
